Missy Elliott - The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)
I saw this video as a 17yo riot grrl, and I was mesmerised. She was so… anti… the r’n’b divas that I was aware of at that time, and she opened up a whole new genre for me (the hip-hop side rather than the r’n’b edge, for which I never really developed an appreciation).
She’s awesome.
